<b>Access to the island of [[Goroma]]</b>
To start this quest you need some luck, or rather bad luck. Sailing from [[Liberty Bay]] to [[Thais]], the captain warns us about a possible storm and the associated risk of shipwreck on [[Goroma]] Island. This is exactly what we are concerned about. It doesn't happen often, in fact rarely. We may have to sail back and forth several times until we reach our destination.

Eventually, however, we should succeed and end up on an uninhabited island. We find the captain and talk to him:

*Eventually, however, we should succeed and end up on an uninhabited island. We find the [[Jack Fate]] and talk to him:
T - Underground caves of the Trolls
S - Boat
x - Underground cave with magic barrier

*<span style="color:green;>Player: Hi</span>

*Jack Fate: Hello, Sir Gracz.
*<span style="color:green;>Player: Ship (Wreck or Passage)</span>
*Jack Fate: I would love to bring you back to Liberty Bay, but as you can see, my ship is ruined. I also hurt my leg and can barely move. Can you help me?
*<span style="color:green;>Player: Yes</span>
*Jack Fate: Thank you. Luckily, the damage my ship has taken looks more severe than it is, so I will only need a few wooden boards. ...
*Jack Fate: I saw some lousy trolls running away with some parts of the ship. It might be a good idea to follow them and check if they have some more wood. ...
*Jack Fate: We will need 30 pieces of wood, no more, no less. Did you understand everything?
*<span style="color:green;>Player: Yes</span>
*Jack Fate: Good! Please return once you have gathered 30 pieces of wood.

Now we have to collect 30 [[pieces of wood]] falling out of the [[Island Troll]]s roaming around the surface as well as under it. This shouldn't be a problem, as you can find quite a lot of them there, especially in the underground caves.

After collecting them, we go to the western cave where we find a mysterious electric barrier, which we can't pass through for now. There is also a body there, which we open and find [[Spellbook of Dragha]] inside.

Now we go to Jack Fate and say:

Name: Forbidden Islands Quest.
Location: Meriana and Goroma
Requirements: Machete, Parcels or Levitate spell.
Reward: Ability to travel to Goroma Island, Access to further parts of Goroma and other Forbidden Islands.
Monsters: Island Trolls, Cobras, Crabs and Scorpions. Later, many dangerous creatures behind the electric barrier.

Spoiler:

Access to the island of Goroma

  • To start this quest you need some luck, or rather bad luck. Sailing from Liberty Bay to Thais, the captain warns us about a possible storm and the associated risk of shipwreck on Goroma Island. This is exactly what we are concerned about. It doesn't happen often, in fact rarely. We may have to sail back and forth several times until we reach our destination.

  • Eventually, however, we should succeed and end up on an uninhabited island. We find the Jack Fate and talk to him:

Player: Hi
Jack Fate: Hello, Sir Player.
Player: Ship (Wreck or Passage)
Jack Fate: I would love to bring you back to Liberty Bay, but as you can see, my ship is ruined. I also hurt my leg and can barely move. Can you help me?
Player: Yes
Jack Fate: Thank you. Luckily, the damage my ship has taken looks more severe than it is, so I will only need a few wooden boards. ...
I saw some lousy trolls running away with some parts of the ship. It might be a good idea to follow them and check if they have some more wood. ...
We will need 30 pieces of Wood, no more, no less. Did you understand everything?
Player: Yes
Jack Fate: Good! Please return once you have gathered 30 pieces of Wood.

  • Now we have to collect 30 pieces of Wood falling out of the Island Trolls roaming around the surface as well as under it. This shouldn't be a problem, as you can find quite a lot of them there, especially in the underground caves.
  • After collecting them, we go to the western cave where we find a mysterious electric barrier, which we can't pass through for now. There is also a body there, which we open and find Spellbook of Dragha inside.
  • Now we go to Jack Fate and say:

Player: Hi
Jack Fate: Hello, Sir Player.
Player: Wood (Ship or Wreck or Passage)
Jack Fate: Have you brought 30 pieces of wood so that I can repair the ship?
Player: Yes
Jack Fate: Excellent! Now we can leave this godforsaken place. Thank you for your help. Should you ever want to return to this island, ask me for a passage to Goroma.
Player: Passage
Jack Fate: Do you want to travel back to Liberty Bay?
Player: Yes
  • And from now on we can travel from Liberty Bay to Goroma Island without restrictions by paying 500 gp.

The ability to pass the barrier on Goroma Island

Requirements:

Description:

  • We sail to the island of Meriana and visit the NPC Chondur. We conduct a conversation:

Conversation:

Player: Hi
Chondur: Be greeted, child.
Player: Spellbook
Chondur: Ah, thank you very much! I will honour his memory.
Player: Energy field
Chondur: Ah, the energy barrier set up by the cult is maintained by lousy magic, but is still effective. Without a proper counterspell you won't be able to pass it.
Player: Counterspell
Chondur: You mean, you are interested in a counterspell to cross the energy barrier on Goroma?
Player: Yes
Chondur: This is really not advisable. Behind this barrier, strong forces are raging violently. Are you sure that you want to go there?
Player: Yes
Chondur: I guess I cannot stop you then. Since you told me about my apprentice, it is my turn to help you. I will perform a ritual for you, but I need a few ingredients. ...
Bring me one fresh dead chicken, one fresh dead rat and one fresh dead black sheep, in that order. Summoned ones will do as well as natural ones.
Player: Counterspell
Chondur: Did you bring the fresh dead chicken?
Player: Yes
Chondur: Very good! <mumblemumble> 'Your soul shall be protected!' Now, I need a fresh dead rat.
Player: Counterspell
Chondur: Did you bring the fresh dead rat?
Player: Yes
Chondur: Very good! <chants and dances> 'You shall face black magic without fear!' Now, I need a fresh dead black sheep.
Player: Counterspell
Chondur: Did you bring the fresh dead black sheep?
Player: Yes
Chondur: Very good! <stomps staff on ground> 'EVIL POWERS SHALL NOT KEEP YOU ANYMORE! SO BE IT!'
