*Lubo: Welcome to my adventurer shop, Player! What do you need?
*Once you have the [[Key 3899]], use the [[Parcel]]s or levitate spell to go upstairs. On the third level there are [[Wyvern]]s. After dealing with them, you should go even higher. After passing through the gate, you can see four sacrificial stones. You should place a skull on each of them and enter the teleport in the middle.

Once everyone has entered, then cut the grass around the inner wall of the tower (places marked with a cross)and head to the southeast corner (blue box). When the grass starts to grow back you should stand on the switch(pink color), then a staircase will appear, which you need to climb as soon as possible.

Name: Paradox Tower Quest.
Location: Paradox Tower near Kazordoon
Reward: Two rewards to choose from: 10k gp, Wand of Cosmic Energy, 32 Talons, Phoenix Egg.
Required level: 30.
Monsters: Wyverns, (Mintwallin): Minotaurs, (Hellgate): Skeletons, Ghouls, Beholders, there may be Elder Beholders, (Plains of Havoc): Skeletons, Ghouls, Demon Skeletons, Orc Berserker, Orc Spearman, Cyclops and Giant Spiders can be encountered.

Spoiler:

Items needed:
Shovel.gif Shovel
Parcel.gif Parcel to enter the 4th floor of the tower (12 pcs) and to leave Hellgate (6 pcs) or levitate spell
Forbidden island5.gif Machete or Heavy Machete.gif Heavy Machete

Items needed during one visit to the tower:
Skull.gif 8 Skulls per person
Melon.gif Melon, Banana.gif Banana, Cherry.gif Cherry, Red Apple.gif Red Apple, Grapes.gif Grapes and Coconut.gif Coconut
White Knight.gif White Knight Chess chess and Black Knight (chess).gif Black Knight Chess (can be found in game rooms located with one of the cities of Edron, Carlin, Kazordoon and Thais)

Important information, read:

  • The quest is long and most of its time is taken up by walking from place to place.
  • The entire tower and its grounds are a Protection Zone, so mana and hp do not regenerate there.
  • When you sacrifice skulls to enter the tower, they disappear and poison fields appear in their place. You don't have to wait for them to disappear, just put the skulls on them again.
  • EVERY time you teleport into the tower you will consume 4 Skulls.
  • You will have to cut the grass and wait for it to grow back EVERY time you visit the tower. When you go inside through the door, the stairs disappear, so before you stand on the button, the whole group must go inside.
  • EVERY time you visit the tower you will have to wait for the Ghoul to move the box to the right place, when it does you should ascend the ladder ASAP before it disappears.
  • If you arrive at the tower once again (you have to visit it 2 times), all the switches will be activated, so you don't need to get the aforementioned items again, only the skulls will be needed to move to the tower again (4 for each entrance). Unless there is a sudden restart of the server, or if someone comes and rearranges the levers, so it is better to be protected and have more of the required items.
  • If you visit the A Prisoner in Mintwallin too early, he won't tell you the number.
  • There are two rows of buttons in the prize room, step on them CAREFULLY, because each button represents a prize that you will LOSE.
  • Hellgate, which you will come to visit once or twice, is not very dangerous. The biggest difficulty is getting out of it. Below is a map showing the way out.

  • After taking the path marked 9, use the Parcel or levitation spell to go two levels higher.

Method of execution:
First Person - Oldrak.

Conversation:

Player: Hello
Oldrak: Welcome Player! Rarely I can welcome visitors in these days.
Player: Hugo
Oldrak: Ah, the bane of the Plains of Havoc, the hidden beast, the unbeatable foe. I live here for years and I am sure it's only a myth.
Player: Myth
Oldrak: There are many tales about the fearsome Hugo. It's said it is an abomination, accidentally created by Yenny the Gentle. It's halve demon, halve something else and people say it's still alive after dozens of years.
Player: Yenny the Gentle
Oldrak: Yenny, known as the Gentle, was one of most powerfull magicwielders in ancient times and known throughout the world for her mercy and kindness.
Player: Bye
Oldrak: Good bye, Player!

Second Person - Zoltan.

  • Zoltan is a mage in the academy on Edron, you should tell him.

Conversation:

Player: Hello
Zoltan: Welcome Player, student of the arcane arts.
Player: Yenny the Gentle
Zoltan: Ah, Yenny the Gentle was one of the founders of the druid order called Crunors Caress, that has been originated in her hometown Carlin.
Player: Crunors Caress
Zoltan: A quite undruidic order of druids they were, as far as we know. I have no more enlightening knowledge about them though.
Player: Bye
Zoltan: Use your knowledge wisely

Third Person - Padreia.

Conversation:

Player: Hello
Padreia: Welcome to our humble guild, wanderer. May I be of any assistance to you?
Player: Crunor's Caress
Padreia: Don't ask. They were only an unimportant footnote of history.
Player: Footnote
Padreia: They thought they have to bring Crunor to the people, if people did not find to Crunor of their own. To achieve that they founded the inn Crunor's Cottage, south of Mt. Sternum.
Player: Bye
Padreia: Farewell.

Fourth Person - Lubo.

Conversation:

Player: Hello
Lubo: Welcome to my adventurer shop, Player! What do you need?
Player: Crunor's Cottage
Lubo: Ah yes, I remember my grandfather talking about that name. This house used to be an inn a long time ago. My family bought it from some of these flower guys.
Player: Flower guys
Lubo: Oh, I mean druids of course. They sold the cottage to my family after some of them died in an accident or something like that.
Player: Accident
Lubo: As far as I can remember the story, a pet escaped its stable behind the inn. It got somehow involved with powerfull magic at a ritual and was transformed in some way.
Player: Stable
Lubo: My grandpa told me, in the old days there were some behind this cottage. Nothing big though, just small ones, for chicken or rabbits.
Player: Bye
Lubo: Good bye.

  • Now you need to get the Key 3899, it is hidden in the tree north of Paradox Tower. You need to go through the minotaur caves here.

CopperKeyLoc.png

NOTE: The tree where the key is takes 200 hp after use! One should be prepared for this!

  • Once you have the Key 3899, use the Parcels or levitate spell to go upstairs. On the third level there are Wyverns. After dealing with them, you should go even higher. After passing through the gate, you can see four sacrificial stones. You should place a skull on each of them and enter the teleport in the middle.
  • Now you need to go north and enter the tower. Once everyone has entered, then cut the grass around the inner wall of the tower (places marked with a cross)and head to the southeast corner (blue box). When the grass starts to grow back you should stand on the switch(pink color), then a staircase will appear, which you need to climb as soon as possible.

  • In the next room you can find several cabinets and levers, move them accordingly according to the order (from left): Right And Right And Left And Left And Right And Left.
  • On the next level there will be a room behind the wall. After switching the levers, a Ghoul will appear. When it enters the northwest corner of the room, a ladder will appear, which you need to quickly climb.
  • In the next room, you need to use the key and open the door, and arrange the fruits on the tables, in order (from left): Melon, Banana, Cherry, Red Apple, Grapes, Coconut. After arranging, move the lever and climb the ladder.

  • Here there will be two monuments, you need to arrange the chess pawns on the corresponding sides, use the lever and climb the ladder.
  • This room is inhabited by a certain Riddler, you should talk to him.

Conversation:

Player: Hello
Riddler: Player! HEHEHEHE! Another fool! Excellent!
Player: Test
Riddler: Death awaits those who fail the test of the three seals! Do you really want me to test you?
Player: Yes
Riddler: FOOL! Now you're doomed! But well ... So be it! Let's start out with the Seal of Knowledge and the first question: What name did the necromant king choose for himself?
Player: Goshnar
Riddler: HOHO! You have learned your lesson well. Question number two then: Who or what is the feared Hugo?
Player: Demonbunny
Riddler: HOHO! Right again. All right. The final question of the first seal: Who was the first warrior to follow the path of the Mooh'Tah?
Player: Tha'kull
Riddler: HOHO! Lucky you. You have passed the first seal! So ... would you like to continue with the Seal of the Mind?
Player: Yes
Riddler: As you wish, foolish one! Here is my first question: Its lighter then a feather but no living creature can hold it for ten minutes?
Player: Breath
Riddler: That was an easy one. Let's try the second: If you name it, you break it.
Player: Silence
Riddler: Hm. I bet you think you're smart. All right. How about this: What does everybody want to become but nobody to be?
Player: Old
Riddler: ARGH! You did it again! Well all right. Do you wish to break the Seal of Madness?
Player: Yes
Riddler: GOOD! So I will get you at last. Answer this: What is your favourite colour?
Player: Green
Riddler: UHM UH OH ... How could you guess that? Are you mad??? All right. Question number two: What is the opposite?
Player: None
Riddler: NO! NO! NO! That can't be true. You're not only mad, you are a complete idiot! Ah well. Here is the last question: What is 1 plus 1?
Player: (say any number here)
Riddler: WRONG!

  • This question cannot be answered correctly the first time, so no matter the answer, you will be transferred to Hellgate.
  • After getting out of there, go to Mintwallin and talk to the prisoner called A Prisoner:

Conversation:

Player: Hello
A Prisoner: Huh? What? I can see! Wow! A non-mino. Did they capture you as well?
Player: Math
A Prisoner: My surreal numbers are based on astonishing facts. Are you interested in learning the secret of mathemagics?
Player: Yes
A Prisoner: But first tell me your favourite colour please!
Player: Green
A Prisoner: Very interesting. So are you ready to proceed in you lesson in mathemagics?
Player: Yes
A Prisoner: So know that everthing is based on the simple fact that 1 + 1 = numer!
Player: Bye
A Prisoner: Next time we should talk about my surreal numbers.

NOTE1: The number that the prisoner gives is always different for each player, you should write it down for yourself somewhere or look it up in the quest log, you will need it in your next conversation with the Riddler.
NOTE2: The prisoner does not always ask about the favorite color, so you should answer him: green only when he asks it!

  • It is now necessary to return to Paradox Tower and talk to the Riddler again. The conversation will be the same as before with one exception: the last question ("What is 1 plus 1?") should be answered with the number that the Prisoner in Mintwallin revealed.
  • After answering all the questions, you will be teleported to the prize room. There are four boxes and 12 boxes with buttons along the way. Each box symbolizes a prize that you will LOSE by stepping on it, so choose the boxes carefully. *Just which box symbolizes which prize? The answer and examples below:

Here's what you LOSE when you step on each field:

  • Remember that you can lose all the prizes! Therefore, be careful how you walk so that you don't accidentally lose all the prizes.
