Soulfire is an extremely sinister spell because it directly attacks a creature's life essence. When the rune is used on the victim, its soul is momentarily disconnected from the body and thrown downward, directly into the fires of hell! Needless to say, the whole process is incredibly painful and the damage, experienced by the target of the spell, is quite real. The level of experience as well as the strength of the casting mind affect the damage the spell will cause. In the hands of an experienced player, Soulfire can become a terrifying weapon.
