On our server there is the system of skulls: A character who has not been involved in a battle recently will be cleared. You won't be able to attack another player if Combat Controls is in safe mode.

If unmarked characters are attacked or injured by another player, the attacker will receive a mark that will be visible to all other players as a small skull below the name. Once a character is tagged all other players are free to attack you! A character who attacks or kills another marked player will not receive a skull in itself. Therefore, you can kill as many tagged characters as you want, without running the risk of catching red or black skull. However, if you intend to attack a marked character, you must still be careful, because like all others, marked characters have the right to defend themselves. Note that not all marks indicate that a character is actually a killer, although any marked character can be attacked. There are 3 types of skulls:

White Skull Whiteskull.gif

A character will be marked with a white skull if he attacks or kills a player who is not tagged. Everyone will be able to see that skull. The player who owns this skull is popularly known as "PK". It will be active until the logout block exits. If the player still performs offensive actions while marked, the length of the skull is extended, as is the logout block and the protection zone block.

Red Skull Redskull.gif

Characters who kill multiple unmarked players within a period of time will be marked with a red skull and will face serious sanctions. This happens when a character kills:

  • 3 frags (Red skull disappears when all frags are gone)

As soon as a character reaches this limit, it will be marked with a red skull for 3 days. Note that each time one of these limits is reached again the red skull deadline is reset to 3 days. Also, as an additional sanction, the character marked with a red skull will drop all items in the event of death, even if they have all the blessings or are wearing an Amulet of Loss.

Yellow Skull Yellowskull.gif

This skull is special because it is not visible to all players. You'll see it if your character is attacked by another player when marked with a skull. That's because you have the right to defend yourself if you have a skull. If you kill a character with a yellow skull, death does not count as unjustified but as any other marked character death. Similar to the white skull, a yellow skull will be active until the logout block comes out. If the player still performs offensive actions while marked, the length of the skull is extended, as is the logout block and the protection zone block.

Bans

Our server has a ban for players who abuse Player Killing, so when you reach "06" Unjustified Kills you will be subject to punishment

  1. First ban of 3-days
  2. Second 7-days ban
  3. Third ban implies character exclusion

How do I know how many Frags I have?

Within the game in your writing bar enter the following command:

If you have any unjustified death a message will be shown the amount and time for each frag:

How long does it take for each frag to disappear?

  • 16 hours for free account players and 12 hours for golden account players
  • 15 minutes for white skull

Tips to avoid being "Pklized"

  1. Always stay close to your friends or a big crowd.
  2. Turn on Safe Mode to avoid attacking someone unintentionally.
  3. Charge UH, IH so you can heal if you get attacked.
  4. Stay close to a Protection Zone if you are weak or a low level.
  5. If you see many dead humans killed by other people it is better to change your course.
  6. Never fall into obvious traps.
  7. Stay alert for parcels or fire fields, PKs may be close.
  8. Always keep Game-Chat open to warn other players about PKs and monsters lured.
  9. Avoid making enemies and don't insult others; this can result in hunted.
  10. Get out of respawn if anyone has arrived before you do.
  11. Do not attack other players' monsters.
  12. Don't steal loots - it annoys people, and they can kill you for it.
  13. Don't get too close to bags that other people are dragging on the floor, the bags are often lootbags and you may be suspicious by trying to steal them.
  14. Don't attack people just because they're with skull, people might think you're a "skullhunter", and if that player has a reason for that skull you can be hunted.
  15. Don't spam or get in the way of other players for no reason.
  16. Do not attack summoned/convinced monsters from other players.
  17. If you're alone and someone starts following you, run to the nearest Protection Zone.
  18. If you're sure you're going to die at the hands of a PK, you can try putting your items in a Bag and tossing it in a place where it doesn't see, like under a tree, to retrieve them later.
  19. Don't try to rob other players' house bidding their house at the last minute. It can people off and they can kill you.
  20. Use Full Defense when you are not hunting. You'll lose HP slower in case you get attacked.
  21. Always set up your Hotkeys for Potions/Healing Spells and runes.
  22. Do not use the keyboard to escape from a Player Killer. You must click on a point on the map, this will give you time to think, ask for help and talk to whoever is attacking you.
  23. Always be friendly and careful. Don't keep telling people what to do (for example, telling people to leave basements), even for low-level players, they can have friends or even be protected by High-Levels.

Cities/Risk Areas

Typically the cities that occur, with a higher frequency, are Carlin, Thais and Kazordoon (but can vary from server to server). Other areas of PK are: Dwarf Bridge, Amazon Camp, Kazordoon Dwarf Mines, Rotworm in the cave southeast of Venore and places away from safe zones. Be very careful when traveling to these areas/cities.
