Mission to Nargor 1: Fafnar's Fire

Go to Raymond Striker and tell him:

  • Player: hi
  • Raymond Striker: Be greeted.
  • Player: mission
  • Raymond Striker: Indeed, I could use some help. The evil pirates of Nargor have convinced an alchemist from Edron to supply them with a substance called Fafnar's Fire ...
  • Raymond Striker: It can burn even on water and is a threat to us all. I need you to travel to Edron and pretend to the alchemist Sandra that you are the one whom the other pirates sent to get the fire ...
  • Raymond Striker: When she asks for a payment, tell her 'Your continued existence is payment enough'. That should enrage any member of the Edron academy enough to refuse any further deals with the pirates.

The first task is to get the alchemists at the academy on Edron to stop creating "Fafnar Fire," a substance that burns even on water and is a threat to all pirate enemies. Find Sandra and tell her:

  • Player: hi
  • Sandra: Heloo player.
  • Player: Fafnar's Fire
  • Sandra: Pssht, not that loud. So they have sent you to get... the stuff?
  • Player: yes
  • Sandra: Finally. You have no idea how difficult it is to keep something secret here. And you brought me all the crystal coins I demanded?.
  • Player: Your continued existence is payment enough
  • Sandra: What?? How dare you?! I am a sorcerer of the most reknown academy on the face of this world. Do you think some lousy pirates could scare me? Get lost! Now! I will have no further dealings with the likes of you!

With Sandra out of the way, we have accomplished the mission, so now we can return to Raymond Striker and report back to him:

  • Player: hi
  • Raymond Striker: Be greeted.
  • Player: mission
  • Raymond Striker: I think that means 'mission accomplished'. Hehe. I guess that will put an end to their efforts to buy any alchemical substance from Edron.

Mission on Nargor 2: Catapult and Side Mission: Tortoise Egg

After completing the first mission with Fanfar's Fire, Raymond Striker assigns another task:

  • Player: hi
  • Raymond Striker: Be greeted.
  • Player: mission
  • Raymond Striker: The mission on which I will send you is vital to our cause. It is a sabotage mission. Nargor is guarded by several heavy catapults. ...
  • Raymond Striker: I need you to sabotage the most dangerous of those catapults which can be found right in their harbour, aiming at ships passing by the entrance. ...
  • Raymond Striker: Get a fire bug - you can buy them in Liberty Bay - and set this catapult on fire. ...
  • Raymond Striker: Make sure to use the bug on the left part of the catapult where its lever is. That is where it's most vulnerable. ...
  • Raymond Striker: If you see a short explosion, you will know that it worked. I will tell Sebastian to bring you to Nargor, but beware. ...
  • Raymond Striker: Of course, he can't drop you off directly in the pirate's base. However, we have discovered a secret way into the Howling Grotto. ...
  • Raymond Striker: Try to make your way through the caves of Nargor to reach their harbour. This is where you will find the catapult in question.

Your task is to sabotage the catapult on the island of Nargor. From now on you can travel at will to this island of pirates, just ask Sebastian. Use Fire Bug to devastate this catapult.

However, before you go there, visit Duncan and also ask him about the mission (DO NOT eat the egg because you won't get it back!):

  • Player: hi
  • Duncan: Hi, come closer. Have a look at my wares.
  • Player: mission
  • Duncan: You did some impressive things. I think people here start considering you as one of us. But these are dire times and everyone of us is expected to give his best and even exceed himself. Do you think you can handle that?
  • Player: yes
  • Duncan: I am glad to hear this. Please listen. The pirates on Nargor are breeding tortoises. They think eating tortoises makes a hard man even harder. ...
  • Duncan: However I am quite fond of tortoises and can't stand the thought of them being eaten. So I convinced Captain Striker that I can train them to help us. As a substitute for rafts and such ...
  • Duncan: All I need is one tortoise egg from Nargor. This is the opportunity to save a tortoise from a gruesome fate! ...
  • Duncan: I will ask Sebastian to bring you there. Travel to Nargor, find their tortoise eggs and bring me at least one of them.

Duncan's task is also related to the expedition to Nargor, so you can do both missions at the same time. You need to steal from the pirates there one of the turtle eggs they are holding there.

Head to Nargor. The catapult, which you need to destroy with the Fire Bug, is located between two moored ships, while you will find the egg in a nest in a small cavity to the west:

Fire Bug should be used on the upper left corner of the catapult. When you see a small explosion, it means the task is done and you can return to Raymond Striker:

  • Player: hi
  • Raymond Striker: Be greeted.
  • Player: mission
  • Raymond Striker: You did it! Excellent!

If you also have an egg (Tortoise Egg from Nargor), give it to Duncan, who will be pleased:

  • Player: hi
  • Duncan: Hi, come closer. Have a look at my wares.
  • Player: mission
  • Duncan: Did you rescue one of those poor soon-to-be baby tortoises from Nargor?
  • Player: yes
  • Duncan: A real tortoise egg ... I guess you are more accustomed to rescue some noblewoman in distress but you did something goodtoday.

Mission to Nargor 3: Infiltration

For the next mission you will need several Pirate Set items: Pirate Hat, Pirate Shirt, Pirate Knee Breeches, Pirate Boots. When you collect them all, head to Raymond:

  • Player: hi
  • Raymond Striker: Be greeted.
  • Player: mission
  • Raymond Striker: If you manage to accomplish this vital mission you will prove yourself to be a worthy member of our community. Imight even grant you your own ship and pirate clothing! ...
  • Raymond Striker: So listen to the first step of my plan. I want you to infiltrate their base. Try to enter their tavern, which meansthat you have to get past the guard. ...
  • Raymond Striker: You will probably have to deceive him somehow, so that he thinks you are one of them. ...
  • Raymond Striker: In the tavern, the pirates feel safe and plan their next strikes. Study ALL of their maps and plans lying around ...
  • Raymond Striker: Afterwards, return here and report to me about your mission.

Your task is to go in disguise to the pirates' tavern on Nargor and study their plans. Follow the path below:

MapNargor2a.png MapNargor2b.png MapNargor3.png

Vulturenose stands at the entrance and guards it. Put on the pirate costume items you prepared earlier and tell him:

  • Player: hi
  • Vulturenose: Hrrrrm.
  • Player: enter
  • Vulturenose: Hey, I rarely see a dashing pirate like you! Get in, matey!

You can already go inside the tavern (we've already figured out how to go through the door, next time we don't have to either talk to Vulturenose or put on a pirate outfit). Find the 3 plans lying on the tables (which look like Treasure Map) and use each of them. Once you've done that, you can return to Raymond:

  • Player: hi
  • Raymond Striker: Be greeted.
  • Player: mission
  • Raymond Striker: Well done, my friend. That will help us a lot. Of course there are other things to be done though. ...
  • Raymond Striker: I learned that Klaus, the owner of the tavern, wants me dead. He is offering any of those pirates a mission to kill me....
  • Raymond Striker: If we could convince him that you fulfilled that mission, the pirates will have the party of their lives. This would beour chance for a sneak attack to damage their boats and steal their plunder! ...
  • Raymond Striker: Obtain this mission from him and learn what he needs as a proof. Then return to me and report to me about yourmission so we can formulate an appropriate plan.

Raymond Striker has learned that the pirate Klaus has put a bounty on his head. Your task is to go to him and find out more about the case. Klaus is sitting in a tavern on Nargor:

  • Player: hi
  • Klaus: Ho matey.
  • Player: mission
  • Klaus: Hmm, you look like a seasoned seadog. Kill Captain Ray Striker, bring me his lucky pillow as a proof and you are our hero!

Return to Raymond Striker and tell him about the proof Klaus demands:

  • Player: hi
  • Raymond Striker: Be greeted.
  • Player: mission
  • Raymond Striker: My pillow?? They know me all too well... <sigh> I've owned it since my childhood. However. Here, take it and convincehim that I am dead.

You will get Raymond's pillow (Striker's Favourite Pillow), go with it to Klaus and tell him:

  • Player: hi
  • Klaus: Ho matey.
  • Player: mission
  • Klaus: Do you have Striker's pillow?
  • Player: yes
  • Klaus: You DID it!!! Incredible! Boys, lets have a PAAAAAARTY!!!!

Now you can go back to Raymond Striker and notify him that the task is done:

  • Player: hi
  • Raymond Striker: Be greeted.
  • Player: mission
  • Raymond Striker: Incredible! You did what no other did even dare to think about! You are indeed a true hero to our cause ...
  • Raymond Striker: Sadly I have no ship that lacks a captain, else you would of course be our first choice. I am still true to my word asbest as I am able. ...
  • Raymond Striker: So take this as your very own ship. Oh, and remind me about the pirate outfit sometime.

You get your own ship (Model Ship) as a reward and the opportunity to get a pirate outfit by completing the Pirate Outfits Quest.
